My purpose is to create music that inspires and comforts – music that is independent, original, and thoughtful. This campaign is to fund the recording of 2 new songs AND to release my next single 'World of Ours' before the end of this year. I can't wait to share new music with you! But I'm going to need your help to make this happen...
Who am I?
My name is Amy, and I'm a songwriter & performer living off-grid in a magical part of New Zealand called Raglan. I'm deeply inspired by ancient folklore, our connection to nature, and the old traditions of the Celtic and the Norse. I weave these inspirations into sonic stories through my music, and then I share them into the world under the name Parabola West.
Why am I crowdfunding?
As you probably have heard, the music industry is a little bit broken right now. But that doesn't mean you can't have great music! It just means that supporting artists directly is the new way forward.
(You might be surprised to know how much it costs to create music to a professional standard. I know I was!)
How much money am I raising? Where will it go?
This project involves the recording of 2 new songs towards the upcoming album and the release of 1 additional new song before the end of the year. Three new things!
I'm raising $4000 NZD to cover studio / production / session musician costs, mastering, cover artwork, merchandise, and some promotion. If we are blessed with abundance, the extra funds will go straight towards recording more songs for the album.
